Another Day in Paradise

Back to the Embassy to pick up the SS Certification for our residency application. Then a great Italian lunch at a lovely little café called “La Mole,” down the street from the Embassy. Back to ARCR to take the SS Certification to the attorney and to get our “authenticated” passport copies. Also did all the application paperwork for health insurance. Paid for the 1st 3 mos of Caja (public socialized medicine system) insurance. Have to get utility receipt to take to police to get paper to take to the Caja hospital or clinic in our area to get our Caja card. We’ll receive notification of acceptance on the INS insurance (private medical insurance but still a government monolpoly, as is all insurance) in about a month and pay at that time. Back to Heredia. Cafes & postres at Azzurra. Back to apartment. Dinner of my ceviche and (Linda’s) cookies and milk.
