Mothers' Day in Costa Rica

Mothers’ Day is a Huge Holiday here. I think mothers are more important here. No school. Wiped out from studying. Hung around the apartment and read a book. Realized we didn’t want to fight crowds at restaurant and didn’t have anything on hand for dinner. So went to Auto-Mercado for a roasted chicken and some groceries. Very expensive place. Will not go there again. Guard says “Pali” is the lowest priced grocery, then Mas Por Menos, then Hipermas, then priciest is Auto-Mercado. With a whole new culture as well as a new language to learn, I learn more here every day than I used to learn in a year!
